1736 Family Crisis Center

1736 Family Crisis Center's mission is comprehensively to help children, women, men, and families in the greater Los Angeles area through crisis, including domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, joblessness, poverty, humsn trafficking, suicide ideation and attempts, addiction, post-traumatic stress, and emotional and life-survival challenges, thereby improving their prospects for long-term housing, psychological wellness, financial stability, and success. The agency serves approximately 6,000 individuals directly through in-depth residental and nonresidental programs, and 20,000 through educational and street outreach.

A Place Called Home

A Place Called Home provides a safe, nurturing environment with proven programs in arts, education and wellness for the young people in South Central Los Angeles to help them improve their economic conditions and develop healthy, fulfilling and purposeful lives.

Alexandria House

Alexandria House is a transitional residence and house of hospitality. They provide safe and supportive housing for women and children in the process of moving from emergency shelter to economic stability and permanent housing. Alexandria House is intentionally multicultural and anti-racist, and the needs of women who are economically poor are at the center of their committment. 

AMUDIM

Amudim is dedicated to serving community members in times of crisis. Founded on the pillars of kindness, compassion, and dignity, Amudim functions as a confidential resource center that provides meaningful assistance, enduring support, and direct referrals for individuals and families impacted by sexual abuse, neglect, and addiction, and other crisis-related matters. They foster change and growth, by raising awareness and implementing educational programs within our community.

Avalon Carver

Avalon Carver works to care for the physical, mental and spiritual needs of individuals and families through education, community outreach and empowerment.

Big Sunday

Big Sunday connects people through helping by offering an enormous variety of opportunities and projects that unite people to improve lives, build community, and give everyone a sense of belonging.

CarePortal

CarePortal is a technology platform that connects vulnerable children and families to people who have something to give. Social workers uncover the needs. CarePortal makes local churches aware, giving them a real-time opportunity to respond.

Central City Neighborhood Partners

Central City Neighborhood Partners (CCNP) brings together more than 20 partners committed to strengthening children, families, and communities and create learning communities so that partners can learn from their peers, share resources and replicate best practices. 

Child Care Resource Center

The Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) has been serving children, families, and child care providers since 1976. CCRC manages programs to assist with issues such as finding and selecting child care and child care financial assistance to families. Children and families benefit from these programs, allowing parents to go to work and attend school, contribute to the economy and strengthen their families and the community.

Children Youth and Family Collaborative

CYFC's mission is to establish partnerships with school districts, youth-centered organizations and youth in foster care for the purpose of ensuring that foster youth graduate from high school, postsecondary institutions and transition to rewarding careers, gaining employment and successful lives. 

Children's Bureau

Children’s Bureau helps at-risk children and their parents with the support, tools, and resources they need to be successful. They do this in three ways: through comprehensive programs and services to meet the varying needs of today's parents and their children, helping other organizations with innovative tools and training, and our work to develop innovative solutions that impact broader communities in sustainable ways.

Children's Center of Antelope Valley

The Children's Center of the Antelope Valley's Mission is to promote healing and provide protection from abuse through education and expert care for children and families in the Antelope Valley. The Center offers innovative, comprehensive prevention, intervention and treatment services and is the coordinating agency of multiple community partnerships involving both public and private agencies. 

Community Coalition

Community Coalition works to help transform the social and economic conditions in South LA that foster addiction, crime, violence and poverty by building a community institution that involves thousands in creating, influencing and changing public policy.

Community Development Technologies

CDTech’s mission is to build livable and economically viable communities in the low-income areas of Greater Los Angeles. This is accomplished by strengthening the skills and self-sufficiency of residents, businesses and community serving institutions through a variety of capacity building and direct service programs.

Deed & Truth

Deed & Truth is a Christian non-profit organization that exists to express the love of Jesus through Deed & Truth. Deed and Truth partners with existing organizations to compliment their valiant efforts by helping to expand existing programs and create new ways to fill important gaps where God reveals relational, material, and spiritual needs, for those who need it most.  

El Centro de Ayuda

El Centro de Ayuda is a non-profit organization located in Boyle Heights community. Their mission is to promote social, emotional, academic and economic self-sufficiency, through a continuum of human services.

El Nido Family Centers

El Nido Family Centers is a social service non-profit agency that provides counseling and family support services to disadvantaged communities throughout Los Angeles County. Their core programs include Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment, Parent Education and Family Development, Teen Parent Family Services and Youth Development.

Family Source Center

FSC’s mission is to promote community wellness and individual and community self-sufficiency by providing opportunities for entire families (children, youth, and adults) to access essential social services (child care, after-school programs, health services, educational workshops, job training, family management, counseling, and intensive case management) while, at the same time, playing an intricate part in assisting other families like themselves to access these services.

Foothill Unity Center

Foothill Unity Center helps neighbors in crisis attain self-sufficiency by partnering with the community and using our resources wisely to provide vital support services. Foothill Unity Center, Inc., envisions a community where all have their basic needs met including the need to give, all get the necessary support to become self-sufficient and all are treated with love and dignity…all the time.

Harvest Home

Harvest Home is a residential program that serves homeless pregnant women and their babies. All women enter the program while they are pregnant, and stay on average between 3 and 6 months after the birth of their child. Harvest Home offers a nurturing, structured program aimed at helping each woman make changes in her life in order to attain independence and stability.

LA Mas

LA Más designs and builds initiatives that promote neighborhood resilience and elevate the agency of working class communities of color. LA Mas envisions a Northeast Los Angeles where communities of color have equitable access to the power and resources needed to shape their futures.  

Legacy LA

Legacy LA's mission is to make positive interventions in the lives of young people by offering alternatives to gangs and violence. Legacy LA builds the capacity of youth to reach their full potential and equips them with tools to transform their lives and community

Mosaic Church, Hollywood

Mosaic is a community of faith born out of the heart of Los Angeles. The founder, Erwin McManus, has created a culture in Mosaic where anyone can belong before they believe, and Mosaic strives to create a home in the city for anyone who does not have one.

New Economics for Women

New Economics for Women’s mission is to spark economic mobility for women, particularly for Latinas and their families, through wealth creation, housing, education, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement.

North Valley Caring Services

North Valley Caring Services is a nonprofit organization serving the residents in the Northeast San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. Since their humble beginnings as a soup kitchen more than three decades ago, they have continued to adapt their services to the changing needs of the community. Today, NVCS is a model center for community empowerment, offering a wide array of programs to enable residents to lift themselves out of poverty, while also encouraging them to build a vision for their community's future. 

Partners for Children South L.A.

The mission of Partners for Children South L.A. is to improve access to high-quality healthcare, early education and family supports for the youngest and most vulnerable children in South Los Angeles. They serve children from birth to 5 years and their families, with emphasis on children in kinship care and pregnant and parenting teens.

Pathway from Boys to Men

Pathway from Boys to Men works to provide resources and support to the underserved men, women, and youth in their community. They have found that the paths that lead to displacement, violence, drug addictions, or imprisonment can be changed by the fellowship of successful role models.

Penny Lane Centers

Penny Lane Center’s mission is to foster hopes and dreams by empowering children, youth and families to reach their highest potential. Their vision is to be the influential leader in the child welfare, mental health and social service arenas by setting trends that showcase our creativity and commitment to communities.

PVJOBS

PVJOBS is a nonprofit 501(c)3 public benefit corporation whose mission is to provide career-track employment opportunities for at-risk youth, adults and veterans in construction and related industries.

SHIELDS for Families

SHIELDS for Families mission is to develop, deliver and evaluate culturally sensitive, comprehensive service models that empower and advocate for high-risk families in South Los Angeles.

Sisters of Watts

Sisters of Watts’ mission is to unite neighborhoods, promote community, strengthen families, and form meaningful relationships.

Toberman Neighborhood Center’s vision is to create a safe community where all youth and families are inspired to build a positive future. They build a healthy, vibrant community through addressing the challenges that prevent youth and families from reaching their full potential.

Watts Labor Community Action Committee

The Watts Labor Community Action Committee (WLCAC) is a non-profit community-based organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents in South Central Los Angeles by providing high-quality housing, health, economic, education, and advocacy services.
