A Sense of Home strives to prevent homelessness by creating first-ever homes for youth aging out of foster care with donated furniture and home goods.

Alliance for Children's Right's mission is to protect the rights of children in poverty and those overcoming abuse and neglect by delivering free legal services, supportive programs, and systemic solutions.

Angels Nest Transitional Living Program’s mission is to support current and former foster youth exiting the foster care system who are at risk of homelessness. They serve these young adults as they pursue a college degree to become independent, self-supporting, community leaders. They also provide services including housing, career development, and life-skills training to overcome past trauma and break the cycle in their own families and communities to reach their fullest potential.

Better Youth, Inc.’s mission is to validate young people by developing life skills through mentoring and media arts training. Their general program target age range is 14-24 with an emphasis on foster/former foster, homeless and low-income youth. 

CASA of Los Angeles organizes the community to take action and advocate for children and families in LA County’s overburdened child welfare and juvenile justice systems.

Casa Pacifica Centers help children find joy in daily living, and improve families’ chances at making a better life through short-term treatment programs, residential treatment programs, adolescent treatment programs, teen and youth services, and child and family services. 

Extraordinary Families mission is to help children and youth in foster care to have the childhoods and futures they rightfully deserve. They have a vision that every child, youth, and family in child welfare will have the ability to achieve their hopes, fulfill their dreams, and thrive.

First Star, a national non-profit, improves the lives of foster youth by partnering with child welfare agencies, universities, and school districts to ensure foster youth have the academic, life skills, and adult supports needed to transition to higher education and adulthood successfully. They pursue their mission through innovative, university-based college-preparatory programs, providing technical assistance to stakeholders, and advocating for policy change.

Friends of the Children is a national nonprofit organization that selects and invites youth – all of whom have unique talents, interests and dreams, and face multiple systemic obstacles – to be paired with a paid, professional mentor called a Friend. They  hire and train Friends to support their youth from as early as age 4 through high school graduation – 12+ years, no matter what.

Ready to Succeed invests in motivated foster youth so they can graduate from college and pursue meaningful careers. Today, RTS Scholars have unique access to a diverse group of thought leaders, innovators and passionate professionals who offer advice, encouragement, opportunities and a community of support.

Seen&Heard provides youth in foster care with professional and personal development via the performing arts – which has the unique ability to propel individuals forward.
